A DWI charge is anything but serious. It can lead to a criminal conviction and the possibility of a suspended driving license. In Fort Bend County, a woman has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty for repeated DWI’s.

According to the report, the judge sentenced the woman to 4 years in prison after she pled guilty and elected for the court to assess her punishment. This was her sixth DWI.

The latest case stems from a June 27 incident wherein the woman’s adult daughter called to report her mother was driving a rental vehicle while intoxicated. The daughter reportedly asked the police to stop and arrest her mother for driving while intoxicated.

Furthermore, the police officers stopped the woman in a parking lot and found her obviously intoxicated with open containers of beer. Her BAC was .257.

Additionally, on April 29, 2012 and May 18, 2012, the woman was also arrested by the police department for felony DWI. According to reports, she had BAC’s of .243 and .319 respectively.

Despite numerous public campaigns against the dangers of driving while drunk, every year thousands of people are still getting arrested and penalized with prison sentences and heavy fines for DWI Conviction. If you’ve been drinking at a party or celebrating, it’s a bad idea to drive if you’ve had a drink or two. Drunk drivers cause serious and fatal accidents.
