A teenager risks can face up to life in jail if confirmed guilty of an aggravated robbery charge. Moreover, it linked to a drug-deal robbery in July.

Joe Randall, 19, was arrested when a 16-year-old told detectives that he was mugged while attempting to purchase marijuana in the parking lot of his apartment. The aggravated robbery took place on Rayford Road. The 16-year-old also told detectives when he approached a red car in the parking lot to buy marijuana; one of the passengers was allegedly Randall. While making the exchange, Randall snatched $60 from his hand before driving away. The 16-year-old was dragged for a few meters. As a result, he had to admit to the hospital later on. According to court documents, the victim identified Randall after police show him a photo lineup.

Randall was detained on a first-degree felony charge, but is out on bond, according to prison records. A grand jury indicted Randall on aggravated robbery charges on October 12. He will stand in front of 221st state District Court Judge, Amanda Miller for an informal hearing on Tuesday.

Previously, Randall was allegedly involved in a shoot-out in Spring, October 2015 and was convicted of felony aggravated assault. However, the grand jury dismissed the charge after a few months.
