A horse-riding instructor from Conroe has been sentenced to five years in the Texas Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to two counts of sexual assault of a child.

The 41-year old Conroe man allegedly met his victims while working as a horse-riding instructor at the family-owned business.

Police said over the course of the investigation, three girls ages 15, 16 and 17 told police they were sexually assaulted by the horse-riding instructor. He was convicted on charges stemming from the sexual assault of the 15-year-old that came forward.

According to police, the man was first arrested on the charges in 2017 when he was accused of engaging in sex at a hotel with a girl he was training at his farm.

Police officials also told the man was “feeding on their weaknesses” when he communicated with underage girls over social media platforms such as Snapchat.
