A Mobile County sheriff’s deputy pulled over a man on Interstate 10 in Mobile, Alabama, earlier this week for a traffic violation. The deputy smelled marijuana coming from the van, sheriff’s officials said and asked to give it a search.
The deputy found 252 bottles of prescription promethazine syrup in the van’s floor storage bins and in other areas throughout the van, police said. The deputy also found marijuana.
Because of this, the man was charged with 252 felony counts of illegal possession of the controlled substance and one count of marijuana possession.
