Under the law of Texas, theft or robbery is a criminal offense that can have extremely serious legal consequences. The police authorities are now actively searching for people who violate the law.
In Dallas, two teenagers are behind bars after police said the duo stole more than $1,000,000 in cash and coins from a home.
The two were allegedly discovered by the Dallas Police Department with nearly half a million in cash, 23 ounces of marijuana, gold bullion and five firearms. A witness was able to provide authorities with a possible location of the suspects, leading to the arrest of both teenagers on charges of felony theft.
According to the reports, the burglarized home belonged to the father of one of the suspect’s 15-year-old girlfriend.
Investigators said the girl ran away from home sometime after the home was burglarized, leaving a note that said she was pregnant and leaving.
In another story involving duo thefts, the West University Place Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating a pair of theft suspects. The suspects were captured on surveillance video making purchases with a stolen credit card.
Police said anyone with information about the suspect should contact the police immediately.
Theft and robbery is a serious case. If found guilty, it could lead to an even more serious consequence.
