Under the law of Texas, illegal possession of controlled substance is a criminal offense that can have extremely serious legal consequences. The police authorities are now actively searching for people who violate the law.

A Friendswood man and an Angleton man were recently arrested for illegal possession of controlled substance.

According to police records, officers were dispatched to investigate an alleged weapons offense at a hotel around 2 a.m. on June 4, 2018.

After an investigation at the scene, a 35-year old Friendswood resident and a 37-year-old man of Angleton were arrested after officers allegedly discovered a stash of illegal drugs including over 14 grams of methamphetamines, 16 ounces of codeine and 7.4 grams of Xanax, which were seized as evidence.

Police also allege they found a small scale and other evidence that the Friendswood man was selling drugs. Two cellphones, a 9MM handgun and more than $5,000 in cash was reportedly found at the scene and also seized as possible evidence.
