In Dallas, two teenagers are behind bars after police said the duo stole more than $1,000,000 in cash and coins from a home.

A witness was able to provide authorities with a possible location of the suspects, leading to the arrest of both teenagers on charges of felony theft.
According to the reports, the burglarized home belonged to the father of one of the suspect’s 15-year-old girlfriend.
Investigators said the girl ran away from home sometime after the home was burglarized, leaving a note that said she was pregnant and leaving.
In another story involving duo thefts, the West University Place Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating a pair of theft suspects. The suspects were captured on surveillance video making purchases with a stolen credit card.
Police said anyone with information about the suspect should contact the police immediately.

A man was arrested at his home after allegedly engaging in organized criminal activity” in relation to the theft of more than $33,000 worth of inventory from Home Depot stores across the greater Houston area.
The man is a manager at the Cash America Pawn shop, at which deputies discovered much of the illegally obtained equipment. Those items include generators, chainsaws, paint sprayers, and welding equipment.
The investigation revealed the man worked in concert with another man who we arrested on June 22, 2018. According to reports, he would swap bar code stickers off expensive items at Home Depot and replace them with bar code stickers from items costing considerably less. He would then purchase those items, unbeknownst to the cashiers at the Home Depot stores.
In all, at least 20 Home Depot stores across the area were targeted. Deputies say the man would bring the items to the pawn shop to sell.
Deputies became suspicious of the man during the course of their investigation. He admitted prior to his arrest that he knew the items he accepted at the pawn shop were stolen. Many were still in original packaging. Deputies have now recovered nearly all of the items.
Engaging in organized criminal activity is a second-degree felony, punishable by 2 to 20 years in prison if convicted, plus a $10,000 fine.
In addition to the theft charge against him, he now also faces a charge of engaging in organized criminal activity.
Another arrest and charges may follow. However, this case remains under investigation.

In Houston, a grand jury indicted former race car driver with the theft of more than $150,000 from investors. Between October 2016 and Feb. 17, the driver allegedly conducted a “scheme” to obtain money from three people. The exact amount the race car driver allegedly stole is unknown and he posted a $20,000 bond.
In another incident involving theft, a top administrator at the county treasurer’s office was charged with stealing money from a county credit union told investigators he was using the funds to pay off a dominatrix he met online who was trying to blackmail him.
The man is accused of stealing $35,000 in a check-kiting scheme that left the county Credit Union holding the bag for the cash.
As a defense to his case, the man told investigators he met a dominatrix —a woman who punishes men in sexual situations — named “Mistress Cindy” on a sadomasochism website in 2016.
He said the woman blackmailed him into sending her money from his personal account at the credit union by telling him he’d tell his wife of his indiscretions if he didn’t.
Because of this, the man was fired from his position as first assistant treasurer and was arrested. He is accused of kiting checks — depositing money, then withdrawing it and stopping payment on the deposit.
If convicted of the state jail felony, he could spend up to two years behind bars.

In midtown Houston, 66 stolen bicycles were discovered after being found in a theft ring. One stolen bicycle case snowballed into a discovery of two-wheeled proportions when police authorities found 64 bikes stashed behind a residence in Houston’s Midtown.
The police were working to track down a Houston woman’s stolen bike, who she saw being sold on Facebook. When the deputy contacted the seller and began investigating, he was pointed toward the Midtown property and learned there might be a handful of other bikes there, too.
The undercover police went over there only to get two bicycles, and he was not expecting to run into the mess he ran into.
At least one person has been identified as a suspect and will likely be charged.

Theft is no joke. When accused and proven guilty, it could lead to life imprisonment and other serious consequences.
In Houston, six men were arrested by the police authorities and face multiple charges including engaging in organized crime – theft, possession of methamphetamine and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

These arrests resulted in nine charges being filed including engaging in organized crime-theft, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, theft and possession of controlled substance – methamphetamine.

Police officers have narrowed down one at least possible suspect involved a rash of bike thefts over the last several months in the Midtown area.
Around 30 of those bike thefts occurred at the Metro Midtown apartment complex in the 2300 block of Bagby Street. Another 35 were reported over the previous four months in the area.
Some of the bikes have even been located at pawn shops. The suspect also used a similar method of operation in the first 35 bike thefts, but police aren’t ready to rule out other suspects.
Multiple residents have posted about the thefts in a Facebook group, “Stolen Bike Search Houston.” In surveillance images, one person posted on Sept. 10, 2018, a man with a goatee and a backpack can be seen stealing a bike from inside a garage.
Meanwhile, in the greater Houston area, authorities have arrested a second suspect on suspicions of stealing more than $33,000 worth of goods from at least 20 Home Depot stores.
The second suspect was arrested “without incident” Thursday morning at his home in north Houston. He was taken into custody on charges of “engaging in organized criminal activity” and faces up to 20 years in prison.
