A fired constable deputy was charged to prison for ten years for assaulting his pregnant wife in August 2017.
According to authorities, the 35-year-old ex-deputy constable assaulted his wife in their house in Texas City.
The ex-deputy constable was facing up to 20 years after being convicted in a case that has raised criticism. Because he was convicted of family assault, he has to serve at least five years of his sentence.

Police officers from Texas City arrested a former TV star after he was accused of punching and choking his girlfriend in 2017.
The accused is a 29-year-old TV star. His girlfriend told police that he slapped and punched her numerous times during the months of October and November 2017 at his apartment in Texas City. He left her with a swollen face, a black eye and dark “golf ball sized” bruises on her arm.
At one point during the alleged assault, the TV star grabbed her neck and slammed the back of her head against the concrete, according to authorities.
The alleged defendant apparently became angry when he noticed messages on his girlfriend’s social media account. His girlfriend said she had dated the TV star for more than a year months and shared a home with him, but it’s unclear whether they lived together at the time of this incident.

A plumber working in a university is accused of sexual assault to a 4-year-old girl inside the home.
According to authorities, the plumber was working with another plumber on a home along Rice Boulevard on Aug. 25 when the other plumber and the girl’s father went off to work on another part of the house.
Furthermore, one plumber was left locked outside the house as the other two men worked, but the young girl unlocked the door and let the other plumber in. That’s the time when the plumber allegedly sexually assaulted the girl.
The child revealed what happened to her father that night and immediately called the police.
The police authorities and even the forensic investigators spoke with the girl, who gave both a physical and clothing description of what the plumber looked like that day. A few weeks later, detectives filed an arrest warrant for first-degree felony super aggravated sexual assault of a child against the plumber.
The plumber has no other criminal history. If convicted, he is facing up to life in prison.
