DWI is a serious offense, and if not defended properly by a defense lawyer, could lead to a more serious scenario. Just like what happened to a certain driver in Houston.
Police authorities said they stopped a vehicle on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, only to find the inebriated driver had his two young children in the car. According to the investigation, police officials responded to a report of a possible intoxicated driver failing to maintain a single lane in Hufsmith Kohrville Road. Constable deputies were able to quickly locate and stop the vehicle before a crash occurred.
The driver displayed several signs of intoxication, according to deputies. Also inside the vehicle were his two four-year-old children.
The driver was reportedly administered field sobriety tests, and it was discovered that he was driving while intoxicated, deputies said. The children were released to a guardian at the location.
The driver was arrested, charged Driving While Intoxicated with Child Passenger under 15 years of age.

Despite numerous public campaigns against the dangers of driving while drunk, every year thousands of people are still getting arrested and penalized with prison sentences and heavy fines for DWI Conviction. If you’ve been drinking at a party or celebrating, it’s a bad idea to drive if you’ve had a drink or two. Drunk drivers cause serious and fatal accidents. The numbers are frightening than you might think.
In Pearland, a man crashed his vehicle while intoxicated. He later used Uber to catch a ride from a hospital, only to find police waiting at his home.
According to authorities, the 48-year old driver exhibited signs of intoxication after the crash on Sept. 26 but claimed to have an injury and was transported to a hospital.
Once at the hospital, the driver reportedly refused treatment and called an Uber. Hospital personnel notified police, and an officer greeted the man at his home when the Uber driver arrived. The driver was transported to the police department, where a blood search warrant was executed. He faces charges for DWI-second offense and unlawfully carrying weapons.
Drunk Driving Accidents
In 2016 alone, more than 10,000 people were killed by drunk drivers. The victims were the people who were passengers of the drunk driver, and to those who were in other vehicles and pedestrians. So, it is definitely a poor decision on your side to operate a vehicle when drunk.
Average Age of Drunk Drivers
Most of the drunk drivers fall in the age range of 18 and 24 years. In fact, this demographic constitutes over 25 percent of all DWI arrests. This population also happens to be the largest repeat offenders by far. Many states are working on amending their DWI laws. For instance, Washington State is making DWI into a felony if the same person is detained for DWI Conviction for more than two times. Some states are taking it even further. They want any DWI a felony offense.
Types of Alcohol Involved In DWI Arrests and Conviction
Over half of arrested for DWI were found to be drinking beer. 20 percent admitted to consuming more than one type of alcohol before getting behind the wheel. People can get intoxicated rather quickly if their drinks contain more than one type of alcohol.

Sexual Assault – What started as an investigation into an incest-laden online chat room landed two East Texas parents in jail, accused of photographing and recording themselves sexually assaulting their 2-year-old daughter.
The 32-year old mother and 24-year old father were arrested last week by federal and state authorities on the promotion of child pornography charges. The mother was also charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child for allegedly performing several sex acts on her daughter. Investigators came across the parents while posing as participants in the chatroom. Federal investigators started a chat with a person with the username “Lil Mamma,” according to federal court records, and asked if the user had ever done anything sexually with her daughter.
“Kinda,” investigators said Lil Mamma wrote. “She is only 2.”
The next day, the investigator asked Lil Mamma about any fantasies she has. According to investigators, Lil Mamma said: “I wanna watch my husband teach our daughter how to be a good lover and wife one day.”
The investigator then asked Lil Mamma to send over photos of her daughter. Lil Mamma sent three, according to court documents, two of which were pornographic in nature.
In one of the photos, an adult female’s hand is seen digitally penetrating the little girl in the photo.
Investigators began exchanging text messages with Lil Mamma, one of which explicitly detailed how she and her husband would sexually assault their daughter.
Other texts detail how she and her husband were grooming the little girl to perform other sexual acts, according to court documents.
About a week after the conversations, both parents were behind bars. The father was booked on three states felony promotion of child pornography charges alleging he sent three different photos depicting the sexual assault of a child.
These types of cases could be best handled by a Family Assault lawyer and could possibly turn the luck on the parent’s side. However, failure to hire an experienced family assault lawyer could bring unfortunate scenarios on the side of the defense.

Assault charges are definitely no joke. Even authorities can be accused of assault and could be charged and sentenced depending on the degree of their deeds.
A Houston rapper wasn’t indicted on felony charges involving the alleged beating of his ex-girlfriend but DA refiled with a misdemeanor assault charge, according to reports.
According to reports, the rapper was charged with assault on a family member, a Class A misdemeanor.
The rapper was originally charged with aggravated assault of a family member after he allegedly beat his girlfriend in his apartment while holding a pistol. His girlfriend had an audio recording of the alleged incident, though the rapper’s attorney, said that there were huge inconsistencies between the recording and the written statement that the girlfriend gave to police and that’s likely why the grand jury exonerated him.
