Another Family Assault Is Charged To A Houston Man

A Houston man who was already out on bond for a family assault charge from earlier this month – is now facing one count of assault on a family member and one count of violating a protective order. Meanwhile, the man is still in the hospital recovering from his stab wounds and is expected to face charges upon his release.

The problems started hours before the stabbing when a Houston woman – fearful her ex would return and cause trouble after allegedly assaulting her earlier in the evening – asked a friend to stay with her.

The man came over to stay at the woman’s home, and the woman later told the man could stop by to get his belongings.

But once he showed up, the woman later told the police, the accused man assaulted her again, then followed her inside. After causing a disturbance in the home, just after 11 p.m., the accused man left.

Her cousin allegedly followed him outside with a pair of nunchucks, and the two started brawling. Her cousin allegedly hit the man with the nunchucks, and the man responded by stabbing her cousin in the back of the head, arm, and hand, according to police.

First responders flew the man to a Houston hospital where he is in stable condition. Prosecutors agreed to charge him with aggravated assault, and he’ll be arrested after his release.
