Criminal charges excuse no one. And when you’re charged, contacting a defense attorney if charged of possession of controlled substance is your best and only option.

In Houston, A 59-year old mother was caught allegedly attempting to hide marijuana in her son’s backpack during a traffic stop before dropping him off at school.

Her 26-year old son was arrested and charged with tampering with evidence, possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance in a drug-free zone.

According to authorities, police stopped the son in a school zone for a traffic violation. In an attempt to hide illegal drugs from police, the mother pulled over into an elementary school drop-off line and allegedly placed a “small amount of marijuana” in her son’s backpack before sending him inside.

Once in class, the small boy was concerned he would get in trouble and showed his teacher the small amount of marijuana in a grinder he said his mother placed in his backpack. The teacher called the police, leading to the mother’s arrest.

The mother was later arrested and charged.
