A DWI charge can have a huge impact on your life. A permanent criminal record can badly affect your career, personal relationships, finances, and family.  And by no means, you want this to happen. So, when you are charged with a DWI, call a reputable DWI attorney immediately. It’s crucial that you’re well aware of your legal options and what needs to done to mitigate it.

An example of this happened to a certain volleyball player in the University of Texas.  According to officials, the athlete was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated near campus on March 18, 2017.

An arrest affidavit says university of police pulled over the athlete at 2:05 a.m. on March 18 for driving without her headlights on and following too closely. According to the affidavit, the athlete admitted to taking a couple vodka shots earlier that night. She failed a sobriety test and smelled of alcohol. A breathalyzer test was not given.

The Texas volleyball coach further stated that the campus administration has been aware of the situation since it has occurred and the issue has been addressed. The coach also stated that they will support the accused athlete in working through the process.

Things will turn out well for the athlete, had she only hired a DWI defense attorney to help her properly defend her case.
