Furthermore, the police officers stopped the woman in a parking lot and found her obviously intoxicated with open containers of beer. Her BAC was .257.

DWI is a serious offense. If not defended properly, it will lead to a more serious and even life imprisonment. Below are some of the many examples of an incident where drivers were found to be intoxicated while driving.
- Two 23-year-old men were arrested May 15 for an alleged evading arrest and public intoxication. A deputy was dispatched to a welfare check in a parkway. Upon arrival, the two men saw the deputy and allegedly began to run from him into a wooded area. Eventually, the two men were apprehended.
- A 23-year-old Houston woman was arrested May 13 for alleged drug possession. A deputy was dispatched to an area on the Waterway for a suspicious person call. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the person inside of the vehicle. An odor of marijuana was allegedly emitted from the vehicle. Marijuana was then allegedly located inside the vehicle.
- A 20-year-old Spring man was arrested May 14 for an alleged burglary of a motor vehicle. A deputy was dispatched to the 100 blocks of Maple Street in reference to an assault in progress call. Upon arrival, the deputy met with the complainant and the Spring man. The call was changed from an assault to a burglary of a motor vehicle call, as the complainant allegedly caught the man inside of his vehicle and had taken items that did not belong to him.
DWIs By State
In 2015, California had the highest number of DWI arrests. The state reported 214,828 arrests. The lowest DWI arrest rate is in Delaware. It’s not surprising as Delaware has one the lowest populations in the United States. In contrast, California is the most populated state in the country. There isn’t any clear reason for this inconsistency. Many states, in an attempt to lower DWI arrests, are now relentlessly focusing their anti-drunk driving campaigns to specific demographics.
