Caregiver Accused Of Sexual Assault To A 69-Year Old Woman

Sexual assault, in this case, is a Class A Misdemeanor with a punishment range of up to one year in county jail and a fine up to $4,000. If not properly defended by a defense lawyer, it could lead to the worst consequence.

A nursing assistant in Tomball is one of the many examples of a sexual assault case. He has been accused of sexually assaulting a 69-year-0ld woman who was paralyzed in her arm and leg.

The 59-year old caregiver was arrested on a charge of aggravated sexual assault of a disabled or elderly person. He was specifically accused of violating the woman in the shower in a healthcare center in Tomball.

Tomball police said the caregiver was fired from the facility after the allegations surfaced. Police initially received a call of a possible sexual assault at the facility on Jan. 18.

They were given the caregiver’s name as a possible suspect, and police twice interviewed him before filing the sexual assault charge.

The caregiver had been a certified nursing assistant “or quite some time now. He has lived in the Houston area for about three years and served in the Air Force from 1981 to 1983.

The victim had suffered three previous strokes, leaving her paralyzed in her left arm and leg, prosecutors said during the probable cause hearing.

The woman told police that despite her disability, she normally cleans her “private parts” with assistance, court documents show. Just before the assault, the caregiver allegedly said he had been dreaming about her being a good kisser and told her it was time for a shower. During the assault, the caregiver violated her with his finger, touched her breast and touched himself, according to the woman.

The caregiver faces life in prison if convicted of the sexual assault charge.
